Donating during the holidays is on many of our list of things to do. Besides getting organized TNC Self Storage knows giving back is just as important. This year we parented up with Toys for Tots, a nationally known organization supporting children in need. Many of us are familiar with the boxes we see at businesses in the area, but what is Toys for Tots all about?

Starting their mission in 1947, Toys for Tots began with a simple handmade doll. This sparked neighbors to donate new unused toys to tots that may not have a toy under the tree. The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves collects books, board games, and more every year from the months of October until December. Giving toys to shelters, homes, and schools, provides kids with a role model and memory to brighten their holiday.

The USMCR does not consider these gifts just toys, they are giving these growing minds a message of hope, responsibility and kindness. They want children in rough situations to grow up to be active members of society. With the magic of the season and an act of kindness, this is possible.

TNC Self Storage is excited to be part of something so big! We know this foundation is so important to many in our neighborhood. Shown is the pictures above is the 10×30 unit filled with toys collected from around our Souderton PA community. The have benefited tremendously from using this extra space. They also use our Penske trucks when it comes time to distribute the toys.

We have received many donations and are extremely thankful for the generosity. Please keep bringing in new unwrapped toys until December 20th.
