Toys for Tots has been around since 1947. Major Bill Hendricks started the dream in Los Angeles after trying to deliver toys to kids without gifts but could not find an organization to help. With the help of his wife Diane and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve bases a year later, Toys for Tots saw the exponential growth they were hoping for.

Originally starting with 5000 toys, they have now grown to giving out millions of toys every year.
